Nokia N900 Smartphone - Taking Handset Knowledge Forward

The Nokia N900 is one of the famous new smart phones. A new addition to the world of Nokia smartphones, the N900 can stand its own when compared to other devices on the market.

Key attributes of the N900:

Appearance - Although a bit chunky, this phone hides a powerful TI OMAP 3430 processor with ARM Cortex-A8 which runs at 600 MHz. Even though a bit bigger in dimension, this phone does not compensate on trend. The N900 is glossy, sleek, and jet black. They keyboard slides into the front panel and the camera is located at the back. A shutter protects this phone's Carl Zeiss camera lens. There's a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top position also having the lock key. are there.

Touchscreen - It has a 5 inch touchscreen offering a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The screen allows you to support 16 million colors. The touchscreen is simple to use and rather reactive.

Software - This phone uses the Maemo 5 operating system. An open OS like the Linux OS can be enhanced and made more useful by the addition of custom applications created by developers and designers. A number of programs could work simultaneously. Switching between applications is made simple. Applications that are being run will show up as little panes on the display panel. Internet - To enhance your internet experience, Nokia has developed a phone which contains GRPS, EDGE, HSCSD,WAP, Bluetooth, Wi-fi, and HSDPA connectivity. For internet surfing Mozilla Firefox explorer is utilized by the telephone. To zoom in on a page, just swirl your finger in a circle or tap the page twice.

Navigation - The navigation software in this device is worth mentioning. A-GPS, inbuilt compass and Ovi maps, are found in the N900. If you don't like using Ovi maps, you can choose other maps to download and keep.

Camcorder - A five-megapixel camera comes with this phone, and it has zoom, autofocus, and all the other features you expect. Crystal clear images are achieved through the combination of amazing resolution and clarity. You will be able to edit the images as you want. With WVGA 848x480 @ 25fps, Video streaming is possible.

Media - Media features are cool in The Nokia N900. MP3, WAV, WMA and eAAC formats are the support files of the music player. Whereas WMV, Real Video, MP4, AVI and XviD formats are the support files of the video player.

Microsoft Office - The document viewer in this mobile phone allows users to view MS Office documents and PDF files.

Games - You can download a Nintendo SNES emulator onto this handset. The gaming experience is good.

Other Features - Polyphonic ring tones, calculator, calendar, organizer, to-do list, Java, handsfree, voice memo, FM radio, vibrating alert and so on.
