Tips To Play Guitar - Rival The Competition With Easy and Fast Tips

You can remember learning guitar riffs and licks without much practice or focus on technique, but things may have started to slow down. It might take you a couple weeks to perfect something whereas it only took you a couple days before.

If you think that your skills are going through a dull period, don't worry. Here are some simple and fast tips to play guitar that can get you out of the slump and learning faster again.

1. Own an acoustic and electric guitar. Sometimes the different styles between the acoustic and electric guitars can hold a guitarist back on what they want to learn. For the best results, own each kind of guitar, that way you can hook up to an amp when you have time, and take your instrument elsewhere when you need to practice.

2. Your friends might know more than you think. You have to have at least one buddy that sits down with the guitar every now and then. Call him up and trade some secrets and tips to play guitar. You might get some pretty awesome strategies out of it.

3. Go to some live shows. There's so much that you can learn from just watching somebody who knows the guitar spring into action. See if there are any cheap shows in your area and take some friends out there for some fun and an easy learning experience.

4. Browse for some guitar tutorials online. Everybody wants to be known as an authority on playing the guitar these days and lucky for you, you can gain great information from it! Browse the internet for only a half hour and you should be able to discover dozens of great tutorials and tips to play guitar that suit you.

5. Trade skills and tips with other guys at a jam session. If you learn that a jam session is going on in your area at a coffee shop or art show, get in on that! You can learn so much information from seeing guys just like you strutting their stuff in a convenient little circle all just for fun.

It might really be discouraging when you're just not progressing like you used to when you first started playing the guitar, but you can't let that hold you back. Try out some of these tips to play guitar for yourself, and learn at least one new thing for the guitar each day.
