This kind of tendency is adopted by media and film industry. A great number of actors, actresses, and directors prefer to have good looks in front of camera.

Like wise, the actors from theatre desire their on-stage beauty. On occasions, the stage actresses wear on so chunky makeup that they look like a Martian. Otherwise, using the reasonable amount of make up gives them a great feel of charisma and appeal.

People in the film and stage industry use creative make-up to improve their looks. They have to do this as an essential part of their professional lives. Basic

As the name says it all the Basic; this is the makeup that compose an all-purpose upkeep in looks. The subjects are layered with a foundation or face powder. Normally, this covering is used to safeguard their skins from the strong lights. Face powder is also used to stop the course of skin oils that can otherwise harm the skin and ruin the makeup of any actor. While in films, the procedure of powerful lights measuring in thousands of watts is necessary. This is the most usual type of make up for the stage actors if they are doing unfussy roles. While for main roles, they need a heavy nature makeup.

Correctional

This type of makeup is mostly used in film. As the name suggests, correctional makeup is used to remove any flaws and facial features that can damage the on-screen presence of an actor. Makeup artists say that no face is perfect until it passes through the professional hands of a creative makeup artist.

Any kind of flaws, including facial hairs, acne, warts and cuts by adding second layers of makeup can be hidden. In stage performance acting, correctional makeup is less frequent than films. The main grounds behind this practice are the nominal revelation of stage actors to general public. They only perform in front of a special audience in a theatre.

Character

This is the toughest errand for a film and stage makeup artists. Creative makeup is considered crucial to modify an actor's facial and body features. This make up usually is done after discussing the needs of character and the actor's features to perform that role. The director and the actor suggest about the desired features for that specific character and try to come up with ingenious results.

This kind of makeup might engage heavy correctional makeup with face painting and extra amount of face powder. Water based makeup is applied on face and body to match the required features of the character. Many a times, the actors have to suffer tremendous distress, as they have to bear wax on their face and other materials to look old, wounded or unhealthy.
