About 10 Choice Motion Picture Story Lines

By Gabrielle Good

In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

Abby: Carol Speed, William Marshall, Austin Stoker, and Juanita Moore star. This is a dark film dealing with exorcism. In that sense this film is similar to The Exorcist. Abby is the wife of a minister and the daughter in law of another man of the cloth. She is possessed by the devil. (1974 drama)

Stand Alone: Vigilante opus has miscast Durning as a battle vet who goes after Latino thugs who are preying on his community. Grier is trashed in a goody-2-shoes role. Spectacle of obese Durning running around in action scenes is accidentally ludicrous. Cast includes Charles Durning, Pam Grier, James Keach, Bert Remsen, Barbara Sammeth, Lu Leonard, and Luis Contreras. (90 minutes, 1985)

Awakenings: Is based on the true story of Dr Sacks (Malcolm Sayer) in the movie. In 1969 he discovers L-Dopa and applies it to encephalitis patients, who had been catatonic for years and years. HE awakens these catatonic people and it is like a time warp to the future for these people.

No Holds Barred: For those who couldn't get enough of Hulk Hogan, he appears here as a Television fighting megastar who should guard himself after declining a selfish businessman's offer to switch networks. Cast includes Hulk Hogan, Joan Severance, Kurt Fuller, Small Lister, Mark Pellegrino, Jesse Ventura, and Bill Henderson. (91 minutes, 1989)

Factory Girl: Dismal, real tale of 1960s socialite Edie Sedgwick Miller and her self-damaging corkscrew into depravity and medication dependency after becoming one of Andy Warhol's underground-film "megastars." Christensen plays a renowned musician who looks, acts, and noises suspiciously like Bob Dylan, with whom she has a stormy event. Cast includes Sienna Miller, Gentleman Pearce, Hayden Christensen, Jimmy Fallon, Jack Huston, and Shawn Hatosy. (90 minutes, 2006)

Sour Grapes: Bierko hits a $400,000 slot machine jackpot at a casino; Weber, his physician blood brother, imagines he's owed half the loot because he loaned him the mandatory quarters. Infrequently extremely ludicrous, the film is sabotaged by overemphatic "comedy" performing, unsympathetic characters, and a sitcom approach. Writer-director David co-created Seinfeld, which clarifies both the excellent and the poor stuff here. Cast includes Steven Weber, Craig Bierko, Matt Keeslar, Karen Sillas, Robyn Peterman, Viola Harris, and Jennifer Leigh Warren. (92 minutes, 1998)

Hooper: Lighthearted check out aging ace Hollywood stunt gentleman Reynolds, his freewheeling way of life, and the youthful tyro who gets him to try the largest stunt of all. Cast includes Burt Reynolds, Jan-Michael Vincent, Sally Territory, Brian Keith, John Marley, James Best, Adam West, and Robert Klein. (100 minutes, 1978)

Hook: Unlucky cheapening of the cherished James Barrie story of Peter Pan, with Williams as a heartless business takeover honcho who should rediscover his real identity as Panin requests to spare his kids, who've been abducted by Commander Hook. Incredible projecting in key roles is scattered by a script that offers no delight, and extremely little witchcraft-with a troupe of Television -generation Lost Boys who'd be more at home in a McDonald's for profit . Musician David Crosby and an unrecognizable Glenn Close have tad parts as pirates. If this is Peter Pan for the '90s, gave us the '50s as an alternative. Cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Bob Hoskins, Maggie Smith, Caroline Goodall, and Gwyneth Paltrow. (144 minutes, 1991)

The Thomas Crown Affair: Thomas Crown is a billionaire. He has an interesting hobby. When a priceless Monet is stolen, who would suspect the wealth Crown? Investigator Catherine Banning is hot on his trail, and Crown is truly relishing the cat and mouse games that ensue.

Try "Downloads Movies Online" if you want to find some downloads. Try a different search if the first one does not provide good information. "Music Downloading Service" would be worth a try.
