It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. Now, with internet usage exploding, movie downloads are becoming very popular. Here are some examples of movies you can acquire through a movie download site.

Paid: Blameless gal sent to penitentiary; she hardens and desires reprisal. Cast includes Joan Crawford, Kent Douglass Douglas Montgomery, Robert Armstrong, Marie Prevost, John Milan, and Polly Moran. (80 minutes, 1931)

Dante's Peak: Formulaic yet amusing catastrophe film where we see a scientist from the U.S. Geological Study who hangs around a mountainside town in Washington just beside a volcano that he feels is going to blow at some second. Cast includes Pierce Brosnan, Linda Hamilton, Jamie Renee Smith, Jeremy Foley, Elizabeth Hoffman, and Charles Hallahan. (108 minutes, 1997)

First Knight: This movie tells the story of the love, and betrayal that King Arthur had to endure. The true love of his life, Guinevere, and Lancelot, a daring Knight he comes to love and trust like a brother, fell in love when Lancelot saved her from an ambush as she was traveling to marry King Arthur. This indiscretion will bring unbearable heartache to all involved.

Act of the Heart: A religion based film that deals with religion and people who become obsessed with it. A young lady falls in love with a priest in the Catholic Church with obvious difficulties to follow. Stars include Genevieve Bujold, Donald Sutherland, Bill Mitchell, and Monique Leyrac. (1970 Canadian-drama directed by Paul Almond)

Siesta: Sky diver Barkin ends up disheveled and semi-nude in Spain via Mortality Valley; her succeeding odyssey has something to do with kill which might truly be a fantasy and a taxi driver with rugged teeth who keeps trying to rape her. So-hailed experimental film is a throwback to some of the more unclear attempts of the 196O's. Music score by Miles Davis. Barkin and Byrne later wedded in genuine life. Cast includes Ellen Barkin, Gabriel Byrne, Jodie Foster, Martin Sheen, Grace Jones, Julian Sands, and Isabella Rossellini. (97 minutes, 1987)

Dust Devil: In Africa's Namibia Desert, malevolent soul Burke, snared in human being form, should slaughter to enter a metaphysical empire; he meets Territory, escaping an miserable matrimony, and is chased by cop Mokae. Fascinating premise, excellent performing nearly counteract sluggish pace, conceited approach. Cast includes Robert Burke, Zakes Mokae, John Matshiliza, Rufus Swart, William Hootkins, and Marianne Sagebrecht. (87 minutes, 1993)

Against the Wind: Tight, immersing story of British snoops skilled for mission inside encompassed Belgium throughout WW2. Documentary-fashion teaching scenes complement the dramatic tale of opposition brawlers. Cast includes Robert Beatty, Simone Signoret, Jack Warner, Gordon Jackson, Paul Dupuis, and James. (96 minutes, 1948)

Gladiator: An epic saga of power and loyalty. A power thirsty Commodus mercilessly murders his father so he can become ruler of Rome. He then orders the death of Maximus, one of his father's closet friends. Maximus flees, only to be captured and forced to become a Gladiator. Eventually, finding his way back to Rome, Maximus hopes to end the reign of this cruel leader.

Lunch Wagon Girls: Ball turns investigator in this melodrama, confronts weird characters and harrowing experiences when tracking killer; pretty excellent, with top cast. Cast includes Lucille Ball, Charles Coburn, Alan Mowbray, Cedric Hardwicke, Boris Karloff, and George Zucco. (95 minutes, 1968)
