Sharp Synopses Of All Sorts Of Big Screen Pictures

By Allan Knight

The list below has some good movie reviews. Here are some ways to find movie download sites. To get some good sites try to search phrases like "Online Movies Downloads", "Download Internet Videos", or "Downloadable Movie Clips".

The Little Thief: So-so personality picture of the title lass, a disassociated, amoral adolescent floating through life in postwar France. If she comes off as a girl Antoine Doinel, it's since the original tale was co-written by Francois Truffuut, who was allegedly preparing to film this at the time of his demise. Cast includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Didier Bezace, Simon de la Brosse, Nathalie Cardone, and Raoul Billerey. (104 minutes, 1989)

Repulsion: Polanski's first English-language film is a phenomenal mental shocker portraying the psychological deterioration of a sexually repressed gal left alone in her sibling's condo for few nights. The film hasn't lost one bit of its impact. It can leave you anxious for many nights after watching it. Cast includes Catherine Deneuve, Ian Hendry, John Fraser, Patrick Wymark, Yvonne Fumeaux, and James Villiers. (105 minutes, 1965)

Horror Express: A crackerjack terror film ingeniously orchestrated and well performed by the genre's megastars. This turn of the century chiller has a long iced up beast coming to life when being moved from Asia to the West. Lee and Cushing are adversary anthropologists aboard the train and Savalas is a power crazed Cossack officer. Cast includes Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Telly Savalas, Silvia Tortosa, and Jorge Rigaud. (88 minutes, 1972)

Reckless: It's Christmas Eve, and a ditsy, seemingly cheerful spouse (Farrow) is informed by her abruptly regretful husband that he has taken out a contract on her life. A conceivably smart spoof of middle-style domestic relationships and fake holiday praise swiftly descends into a roaming, completely absurd comedy of the ridiculous. Cast includes Mia Farrow, Scott Glenn, Mary-Louise Parker, Tony Goldwyn, Stephen Dorff, Eileen Brennan, and Giancarlo Esposito. (92 minutes, 1995)

AI Artificial Intelligence: In the near future, scientist Hurt and his team create a highly advanced android child who might experience feelings, containing love. His adoption by a nice couple who have lost a child is riddled with complications. This enthralling tale draws us in, thanks in part to Osment's magnificent performance. Cast includes Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law, Frances O'Connor, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Robards, William Hurt, Jake Thomas, Ken Leung, Michael Mantell, and Adrian Grenier. (145 minutes, 2001)

Down in the Delta: With her life a mess and essentially no desire to work, lone mother Woodard boards the bus with her 2 kids to spend the summer in the Mississippi Delta, living with family members and working in their restaurant. Episodic drama recoups from awkward start to better points for utter likability. Woodard beams and Freeman gives one of the best acting jobs of his career. Cast includes Alfre Woodard, Al Freeman, Jr., Wesley Snipes, Mary Alice, Esther Rolle, and Loretta Devine. (111 minutes, 1998)

Prince of Darkness: The anti-Christ entombs the evil child of Satan in a canister of a forgotten about L.A. temple. It's up to pastor Pleasance and the grad students of Prof Wong to tidy up the mess. They must stop the religious sect attempting to free this child named the "Brotherhood of Rest." Cast includes Donald Pleasance, Lisa Blount, Jameson Parker, Victor Wong, Dennis Dun, Susan Blanchard, Anne Howard and Alice Cooper Panavision. R (110 minutes, 1987)

Man of a Thousand Faces: A surprisingly devoted, well acted biography of megastar Lon Chaney. Cagney as Chaney, Malane as upset first spouse, and Greer as a spouse who brings him cheerfulness, all perform well. Cast includes James Cagney, Darothy Malane, Jane Greer, Marjorie Rambeau, Jim Backus, Jeanne Cagney, Rabert J. Evans, Jack Albertsan, and Rebuff Pallard. (122 minutes, 1957)

The Mystery of Edwin Drood: A seemingly honorable English choirmaster (Pours) is essentially accountable for a terrible murder. This is an excellent Hollywood adaptation of Charles Dickens' incomplete novel, which inspired a Broadway musical in the 1985. Cast includes Claude Pours, Douglass Montgomery, E. E. Clive, and Valerie Hobson. (87 minutes, 1935)

This short list is an example of the variety of films you can find online that you can download. To find online download sites, try "Movie Trailer Downloads" or "Unlimited Music" in the search engines. Add "Online Movies Rental" to the list if the other searches don't work for you.
