PSP VS PSP 3000: Search Reviews

By Bill Glover

Learn more about psp go vs. psp 3000 and make your own decision. The gamers are not giving this new handheld gaming systems good reviews. Which makes writing about this system simple.

The psp go vs. psp 3000 debate starts with the smaller size of the new psp go, Measuring the size of the screen diagonally, it is half an inch smaller than the psp 3000 screen. Most serious gamers are debating the smaller size; some saying you hold the device so close to your face you won't notice the smaller screen. Others think it will impact the quality of game play.

None of the psp 3000 accessories will work with the psp go which is another big downer when it comes to this debate. Many are sour about this and feel it's just another way for Sony to make money which they don't feel is right.

Another drawback in the psp go vs. psp 3000 debate is the psp go doesn't have UMD slot, so you won't be able to use any of your UMD games. You'll have to wait until Sony makes some sort of download available. Not only that, but there are internet rumors flying around that the psp go doesn't have the same battery capacity as the psp 3000. There are accusations that the battery in the new product won't last nearly as long as in the psp 3000. Sony is adamantly denying this charge, but we will have to wait for actually user reviews before we know the truth for sure.

One of the pro's in getting the psp go and not the psp 3000 is because the psp go has Bluetooth capabilities but not everyone is liked into the Bluetooth network so this may not be enough when you consider spending over $250 for it.

The psp go also just has 16GB of memory, but you can expand it with an external 32 GB memory flash stick. This is just one more thing users will have to spend their money on, besides having to buy new accessories and new games. Even if the old UMD games are made available for download shortly, it is still a pain in the neck to have to go through that just because Sony wants us to buy something new.

Unless you feel the need to have the newest release of the psp, I would say to pass on this. in the debate on psp go vs. psp 3000, the psp go isn't impressing anyone, and not to many people are going to rush out and buy this products.
