A Few Short Movie Story Lines To Check Out

It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. Now, with internet usage exploding, movie downloads are becoming very popular. Below is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.

Do The Right Thing: This is a Spike Lee Directed film. On a hot summer day in a Brooklyn neighborhood, things are heating up. With various people from different races and cultures, all struggling with their own, or each other's problems, things have reached a boiling point. The crescendo of which is a racially motivated outbreak of violence.

Stallion Road: Devoted veterinarian Reagan and novelist buddy Scott vie for the benevolence of horse rancher Smith; low-key drama written by Stephen Longstreet. Cast includes Ronald Reagan, Alexis Smith, Zachary Scott, Peggy Knudsen, Patti Brady, and Harry Davenport. (91 minutes, 1947)

Absolute Beginners: This film is a British musical. The musical themes are jazzed based with Sade included in the performance. The film is set in London in the late 50's, with young men and women coming of age as the setting. Eddie O'Connell, Patsy Kensit, David Bowie, and James Fox star. (1986 musical)

Just Around The Corner: Simple minded comedy with Shirley single handedly ends her state of depression by exploiting the pessimistic lawyer Gillingwater into creating new jobs. Cast includes Shirley Church, Joan Davis, Charles Farrell, Amanda Duff, Bill Robinson, Bert Lahr, and Claude Gillingwater. (70 minutes, 1938)

Seizure: Rock's directorial debut is trendy although incoherent shocker in which novelist Frid, his family and buddies are made to play games of death by a trio of wicked weirdoes who may or may not be his bad dreams coming to life. Cast includes Jonathan Frid, Martine Beswick, Christina Pickles, Joe Sirola, Herve Villechaize, Mary Woronov, and Troy Donahue. (93 minutes, 1974)

Eagle Eye: After an attack on a potential terrorist proves to be false, America finds that it is under attack by terrorist forces. This sets off a chain of events that seem inexplicable. It turns out that the central analysis computer has deemed the actions of the government as against the people. The computer is taking action.

Chicken Every Sunday: Carefree turn-of the century Americana in reference to get-rich-quick hopeful Dailey and his clingy spouse. Cast includes George Seaton, Dan Dailey, Celeste Holm, Colleen Townsend, Alan Youthful, and Natalie Wood. (91 minutes, 1948)

Rockula: Teenage vampire Cameron is powerless to lose his virginity due to an age-old hex. Cast includes Dean Cameron, Tawny Fere, Susan Tyrrell, Bo Diddley, Thomas Dolby, and Toni Basil. (87 minutes, 1990)

Eyewitness: Smooth however unsatisfying thriller in regards to a creative janitor who uses his second-hand experience of an unsolved murder to get close to a female Television news journalist with whom he's been infatuated. Steve Tesich's script is needlessly cluttered with little characters and tale twists. Cast includes William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, Christopher Plummer, James Woods, Irene Worth, Steven Hill, and Morgan Freeman. (102 minutes, 1970)
