The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes: The first of Disney's computer comedies with youthful Russell as the college whiz inserted with a pc-mind, which winds up posing a threat to local gangster Romero. Cast includes Kurt Russell, Cesar Romero, Joe Flynn, William Schallert, Alan Hewitt, and Richard Bakalyan. (91 minutes, 1970)

The Kingdom: The terrorism story is reinvented as an action film. It is a blood-pumping tale of an elite FBI team that voyages surreptitiously to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to examine a massive explosion at a U.S. living area. Cast includes Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper, Jason Bateman, Ashraf Barhom, Ali Suliman, Jeremy Piven, Danny Huston, Richard Jenkins, Frances Fisher, Anna Deavere Smith, and Tim McGraw. (110 minutes, 2007)

Rent-a-Kid: While the head of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a plan to raise money by renting out kids. While unsurprising, this stupid premise is surprisingly effective. Eventually 3 youngsters are rented by a hip '90s couple considering adopting. A respectable family flick. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Matt McCoy, Sherry Miller, and Amos Crawley. (89 minutes, 1995)

The Good the Bad and the Ugly: The third and the best of Leone's man with no name trilogy, set throughout Civil War. 3 very different people look for Confederate government treasure chest, each know only a piece to the puzzle of the location of this treasure. This film must be considered one of the true Western classics. Cast includes Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach, Rada Rassimov, Mario Brega, and Chelo Alonso. (1061 minutes, 1966)

Nutcracker the Motion Picture: Much of this rendition of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Northwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is extremely irritating. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak's sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp Patricia Barker, Plod Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes, 1986)

The Happening: A light hearted and light headed caper tale focusing around the abduction of a now honorable used to be gangster (Quinn). This is Dunaway's film debut. The title melody became No. 1 hit for The Supremes. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, George Maharis, Michael Parks, Robert Stroller, Faye Dunaway, Milton Berle, Oscar Homolka, Jack Kruschen, Clifton James, and Eugene Roche. (101 minutes, 1967)

The Age of Innocence: In 1870s NY, well-bred youthful guy (Day-Lewis), who plans to wed well bred youthful female (Ryder), is infatuated by infamous beauty (Pfeiffer) with a notorious background and a self sufficient soul. Sumptuous adaptation of Edith Wharton's Pulitzer Prize novel in reference to censored sentiments in a close minded world. Cast includes Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Winona Ryder, Richard E. Grant, Alec McCowen, Geraldine Chaplin, Mary Beth Hurt, Miriam Margolyes, Sian Phillips, Michael Gough, Alexis Smith, Norman Lloyd, Jonathan Pryce, Robert Sean Leonard, and Carolyn Farina depicted by Joanne Woodward. (133 minutes, 1993)

My Science Project: A laugh less, often tasteless comedy in reference to high school kids who discover an alien gadget that can create a time and space warps. Cast includes John StockwelI, DanielIe Von Zerneck, Fisher Stevens, Raphael Sbarge, Dennis Hopper, Barry Corbin, Ann Wedgeworth, and Richard Masur. (94 minutes, 1985)

Gypsy Girl: Gypsy Girl is a brooding account of the backward Hayley Mills finding her first romance with McShane exciting yet unstable. Cast includes Hayley Mills, Ian McShane, Laurence Naismith, and Geoffrey Bayldon. (102 minutes, 1966)
