Wedding Bands Music For Your Special Day

By Lucy Duffield

Many individuals of all ages enjoy the type of music provided by wedding bands music, because they are able to play so many different songs from various generations. Most bands can play different types of music from those of the 50s to more modern music choice.

A lot of people go for a DJ mainly because of the price as they already have spent a fortune on other things at their wedding. This can be a mistake as the entertainment at a wedding is also remembered and you want your day to be as perfect as possible.

It may cost a bit more to hire wedding bands music; however, most bans do have a set list of the music they play. Do not be shy to make a request of any song or tune you want played for your wedding celebrations. You want your guests to get up and dance.

Choosing a cover band is a good idea, since they may play music by specific artists as well as particular genres. Many wedding bands music will vary; however they can generally play set lists that include anywhere from 20 to 40 songs by heart. Good bands are more than willing to learn any new song you may request.

Determine the type of music and the songs you want for your wedding day, and then search for the perfect band. You can do this by using the online search engines by typing in bands or band booking agents. Find out if the band you are interested in hiring has experience playing for weddings, since this will ensure better entertainment for your wedding.

Most often wedding bands music may play for anywhere between 90 minutes up to 2 hours and take a break about half way through that time. You can hire them for a longer period if you need to do so. Make sure that the band you hire has everything they need available to them. They will require enough room to unload and load all their equipment and a changing room.

Please also remember there has to be an adequate dance floor for guests. Too small and it could be a health and safety hazard or too big and people may be put off going on the dance floor. Ideally the venue should have a stage although most bands can work around this.

Other issues which are crucial before you even part with your money is to check the venue has a live music licence- no licence means no band! So check this before you even start searching for a band. Ask the venue what size band can they hold and what sort of bands have they had in the past, they may even recommend a good one to you.

When you want you and your guests to have an enjoyable time, you need to plan for wedding bands music beforehand. When you take the time to do this, you and your guests will be able to fully enjoy your special day.
