The Life and Career of Michael Seater

By Amy Bernstein

You may or may not have heard of the name Michael Seater. However, it is a name that will be in the hearts of young girls and in the pages of popular magazines in no time at all. Already having a group of young girls admiring him, it is only a matter of time before everyone else in the world gets to know just who Michael Seater is.

Born as Michael Bruce Patrick Seater on January 15, 1987, this Canadian actor has made a splash as soon as he was able to walk. At one peek of his list of TV appearances and you'd think that he has been acting since birth. While he's not been on television that long, he's been around a bit. With over 20 different TV series under his belt, sometimes appearing in a few episodes for each, he's quickly making a name for himself in Hollywood.

However, acting is not where Michael Seater draws the line. He has also shown a great interest in writing television shows. Under his belt, he has written one episode of "Family Biz" and two different episodes of "Life with Derek".

While he has been on "Life with Derek", "On Thin Ice," and "The Zack Files", Michael's latest project would be "18 to Life". In a total of 6 episodes, Michael plays Tom bellow. Most likely, if you are unable to place his face now, you'll when you see the show.

It is really easy to see that Michael has worked awfully hard to get to where he is . He attended the Etobicoke school of the Arts, which helped mildew him into the splendidly talented writer and actor that he's today. With one or two more roles under his belt, he could very well turn into Hollywood's hottest young actors.

With all of this, it should not surprise you that Michael Seater has been nominated for three awards, although he is yet to win any. In 2006, he was nominated for two awards. One was for Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series for the Young Artist Award. This was for his part on "life with Derek". In addition, in 2006, he was nominated for a Gemini Award for the Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series, again, for "Life with Derek".

In 2008, Seater was nominated for his part on "ReGenesis". It was a Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Guest Role Dramatic Series. It is only a matter of time before this nominated actor starts winning the awards left and right.

a more in-depth look into the personal life of Michael Seater will show you that he's merely an average guy. His favourite film is Grease and he would love to someday surf the Australian waves. He owns two dogs. Their names are Joe and Cricket and he enjoys letting loose and listening to some funk music.
